| This is one of what I called a "generic" brand. This pair has a yellow
strip up the back, typical associated with and most likely sold through Yahama dealers in
the early 70's. There are many of this brand in the collection, all with different
strips and different colors. Some were plain black. The pair on the left in the
above picture came from a flat track racer I met at Sturgis a couple of years ago.
He was still wearing these and using duct tape to keep them fastened since most of
the buckles or straps are missing, especially the left boot! If you look close in
the bottom left picture, you can see where duct tape was wrapped around the top of both
boots. |
