The "Strap & Buckle"

The Classic Engineer (Motorcycle) Boot!

The traditional motorcycle boot, also known as an engineer boot has been around for many, many years as the boot of choice for riders.  Other styles have and are being used, but this traditional boot remains as the most recognizable of all motorcycle boots.   The chrome (occasionally brass) buckle around the instep and at top of the shaft gives this boot its unique character.  "The Engineer Boot is the only true Motorcycle Boot!"

The collection consists of various brands of engineer boots.  Older brands, some of which are not available anymore, are featured on this site.  The collection numbers in the three digits, mostly large sizes.

As you look through the next few pages of engineer boots, I hope you will see the quality and construction methods used to make these rugged boots.  Even though some of the collection are very well worn and beat up, they are real classics and collectibles.   These few pictures are just a small portion of the collection.  The more unique and favorite ones are featured.

The boots on each page (about 12 boots to a page) are "clickable" for more detail and several photos of each boot.

Nasty Feet Engineer Boot made by Red Wing

A well used old favorite!  This boot was made by Red Wing for (trade name for Easyrider products).  As of about 1993, Red Wing no longer makes the Easyrider brand.  See a newer pair of these classic Red Wing made Easyrider boots in the picture at the top of "the Boot Collection" page.  Note the holder on the shaft.

The Classic Chippewa of the 70's!   This pair is over 20 years old.  These high quality boots are very heavy duty.  Chippewa made boots for Sears in the 70's.  In the 80's they were also made for Harley and Easyrider.   Around 1980 Easyrider changed to Red Wing for their supplier as mentioned above.   They came in both the 12" and 17/18" heights.

The Classic Chippewa 12" Engineer

Brand new original Chippewa boots from around 1975.  This pair was found a few years ago in a clearance sale.  This is the original style classic Chippewa engineer boot.  This pair, which is a size 13 D, has never been worn outside.

This boot and the other ones on this page are all featured with more pictures on the following pages.
